New school building almost complete

AFTER a decade of delays and setbacks, the construction of a new classroom building at SJK(T) Ladang St Helier is nearing completion, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The new building will house six classrooms, a computer room and other facilities at the school in Bahau, Negri Sembilan.

State exco member J. Arul Kumar said the school was ­supposed to be completed in 2015 but experienced various delays.

He added that cooperation between the school board and management finally led to the project’s completion.

Vinnie Anto, 22, who was an auto-rickshaw driver in Tamil Nadu, was dating the daughter of fellow auto driver Ravichandran, 47.

The girl’s father confronted him after discovering the relationship and warned him to end it.

When the victim refused to comply, the girl’s 17-year-old brother and father stabbed the victim to death.
