PETALING JAYA: Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK) is sponsoring rising national men’s doubles pair Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Yap Roy King as they continue to make their mark on the international badminton circuit.

The men’s doubles shuttlers are currently ranked among the top 20 in the BWF World Rankings. They have delivered commendable performances in major tournaments, advancing through multiple rounds on the BWF World Tour. Most recently, they clinched their first BWF World Tour title at the Macau Open in 2025, marking Malaysia’s first men’s doubles title at the tournament in 12 years. Recognising their talent, the group believes the promising pair can achieve even greater success globally.

KLK chief operating officer Lee Jia Zhang said, “We are proud to welcome Arif and Roy King to the KLK family.

“Their consistent progress on the international stage and current world ranking reflects their hard work and strong potential as a doubles pair.

“KLK is committed to support talented athletes by providing them with the opportunities and resources to further develop their capabilities. We hope this partnership will enable them to continue to grow as a team and achieve greater success in the years ahead.”

The men’s doubles pair, Arif-Roy King, said, “We are very grateful to KLK for this opportunity.

“This sponsorship means a lot to us. We promise to give our best and work even harder to achieve our goals and make Malaysia proud.

“Looking ahead, we hope to reach the podium at the upcoming 2026 Badminton Asia Championships (BAC) and also represent Malaysia at the 2026 Thomas Cup.”

This sponsorship forms part of KLK’s ongoing corporate responsibility efforts to give back to the community through sports.

The group looks forward to the next chapter in the pair’s journey and extends its appreciation to BAM for putting Malaysia’s name on the world stage, allowing the nation to celebrate a sport that is close to the hearts of its people.
