Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital MC book missing, sick leave certificates invalidated

PETALING JAYA: Several government-issued sick leave certificates from a hospital in Kedah have been declared invalid following the reported loss of an official medical certificate book.

Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani issued a notice on Tuesday (March 31) announcing that one of its medical leave certificate books had gone missing.

“Please be informed that Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim has lost Medical Leave Certificates with serial numbers AW321151 to AW321200,” the notice read.

“The government medical leave certificates with the above serial numbers are invalid for use,” it added.

No further details were provided on how the book went missing, nor were any remedial measures outlined for patients who may have received medical certificates bearing the affected serial numbers.
