A STUDENT’S message in his exam answer papers pleading for leniency along with a doodle seeking blessings from the examiners has gone viral in India, Makkal Osai reported.

The hyper-competitive school exams and college entrance exams in the country see students resorting to all sort of tactics.

The latest one to go viral saw one student apparently including a doodle showing a boy labelled “I” prostrating himself at the feet of an elder labelled “Sir”, presumably the examiner.

It was not clear if the doodle and plea helped the student pass.

> The daily also reported that the 47th edition of the Perak Indian Badminton Championship hosted by the Perak Indian Badminton Association (Piba) will be held in May this year.

Piba chairman N. Loganathan said it will be held at the Arena Badminton Perak on May 1-3.

He said world No. 2 women’s doubles player, Thinaah Muralitharan, was a girls under-12 former champion in the 2008 edition.

This year’s event will see players go head-to-head in 24 different categories for prize money totalling RM30,000.
