Newly-upgraded water park in JB closed temporarily due to vandalism

vvvIn a brief statement issued by the Johor Baru City Centre (MBJB) on its official Facebook account, the move was taken following irresponsible acts by unscrupulous parties.

“The uncivilised actions of certain individuals are affecting cleanliness and facilities, causing inconvenience to other visitors," said the statement on Wednesday (March 25).

It added that the temporary closure was to ensure the safety of the public and conduct repair works of the damaged facilities due to vandalism.

Hutan Bandar MBJB is a 50-acre recreational park located at Jalan Tasek Utara, Johor Baru, offering green spaces, lakes, jogging trails, playgrounds and sports facilities.

The new facilities (March 2026) are a new water recreation pool which has been a huge hit.

The water recreation park is open from 9am to 6pm daily.

Other facilities include public toilets, food and drink stalls, a children's playground, a reflexology area and a popular new hotspot in Johor Baru “Rock Yard” at Hutan Bandar MBJB.
