Motorcyclist dies after colliding with cow near Jempol


JEMPOL: A 48-year-old motorcyclist died after hitting a cow at KM28 of the Kuala Pilah-Simpang Pertang road near here.

Jempol OCPD Supt Norhisham Mustapar said the victim died on the spot in the 6am Tuesday (March 24) incident.

"It is believed that the victim, a bus driver, was heading to work when the crash happened.

"He suffered serious head injuries and was killed instantly," he said in a statement.

Supt Norhisham said the case was being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He urged witnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Amirul Syafiq Mohd Yusof at 016 234 8669 to assist the investigation.
