Fire razes 12 cars at workshop in Kuantan


KUANTAN: A fire broke out at a workshop in Jalan Gambang here, destroying 12 cars of various models on Saturday (March 14).

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said 15 firemen from the Indera Mahkota and Kuantan stations were rushed to the scene following a distress call at 6.15am.

He said the fire involved vehicles outside the workshop and did not affect the building structure.

"The fire destroyed about 20% of five cars, while seven were completely destroyed,” he said when contacted.

He added that the cause of the fire and actual loss were being investigated. — Bernama
