Govt confident of passing Bill to limit PM's tenure in coming Parliament session, says Fadillah

PUTRAJAYA: The government is confident the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2026 to limit the Prime Minister's term to 10 years will be passed by Parliament in the next session, says Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

The Deputy Prime Minister, who is also the Chief Government Whip, said it was based on the support of the majority of MPs for the proposed reform, even though the Bill did not receive the support of two-thirds of MPs on Monday (March 2).
