PETALING JAYA: The online court system in Peninsular Malaysia has fully resumed operations after being hit by a technical malfunction that forced lawyers and court users to file documents manually for several days.
The Office of the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia said that the e-Kehakiman system can now be used normally and that all document filings can be carried out immediately online.
The office added that all court proceedings, including mentions, hearings, adjourned sittings, and case management, will continue as usual.
“The system has returned to full operation as per regular service,” it said in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 4).
The office also expressed appreciation to all parties for their cooperation during the disruption.
The system had suffered a technical glitch on Monday (Feb 2), prompting the judiciary to temporarily require lawyers and litigants in Peninsular Malaysia to file documents manually at court counters.
The disruption affected users across criminal and civil courts, with filings and court case management deferred pending restoration of the system.
