Cases against armed forces brass to be submitted next week, says MACC chief


PUTRAJAYA: Two cases involving several top military officers are expected to be wrapped up next week.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki (pic) said he has given instructions for investigation papers (IP) for both cases to be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) by next week.

"For the investigation involving the former Army Chief, I have instructed investigators to submit the IP on Monday (Jan 19).

"For the second case on the misuse of funds involving senior Armed Forces officers, I have instructed for the IP to be submitted to the DPP by Jan 23," he told reporters at the MACC headquarters on Thursday.
