Man pleads guilty to raping 16-year-old girl

SEREMBAN: A 21-year-old man has pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court here to raping a 16-year-old girl.

Mohamad Hakimi Suhaimi Abdul Muhaimin did not contest the charge after it was read to him before Judge Surita Budin.

The accused, who works as a stall helper, was charged with committing the offence between 8.30am and 9.15am on Dec 24, 2025, in a rented room at the northbound R&R along the North South Expressway near Nilai.

He was charged under section 376(2)(d) of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of between 10 and 30 years and whipping upon conviction.

Deputy public prosecutor Norazihah Asmuni asked the court for a new mention date for sentencing pending the submission of a report from the Social Welfare Department.

Norazihah also asked the court to order the accused to stay away from the victim.

Mohamad Hakimi's mother, a housewife, pleaded for a lower bail, saying her husband only earns about RM2,000 a month as a factory worker and have four other children to provide for.

Judge Surita set bail at RM6,000 with one surety and ordered the accused to stay away from the victim. She fixed Feb 11 for sentencing.
