30-year-old man arrested for involvement in fight at Sungai Long toll plaza


KAJANG: A 30-year-old man has been detained for his alleged involvement in a fight at the Sungai Long toll plaza.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the suspect was detained at about 10.30pm on Saturday (Jan 3).

"He has a prior criminal record and has been remanded until Monday (Jan 5)," he said when contacted on Sunday (Jan 4).

The case is classified under Section 506 of the Penal Code and Section 48(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, he added.

"We urge those with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Insp Ghazali Zulkifli at 016-9740758," he said.

On Jan 2, a police report was lodged over a fight between two individuals at the Sungai Long toll plaza.

One individual was armed with a wooden stick.

A video of the incident has since gone viral.
