Mutual respect among diverse communities the bedrock of Sabah’s political stability, says Hajiji in Christmas message

KOTA KINABALU: Embrace the spirit of Christmas characterised by love and generosity, said Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

In his Christmas message, he said with Sabah's vibrant tapestry of religious, ethnic, and cultural heritage, this season offered an invaluable opportunity for all to unite, strengthen bonds, and foster inter-ethnic harmony.

“It is also to assert the commitment to tolerance, mutual respect and solidarity,” he said in reaffirming the state government's steadfast commitment to preserving the unity of its people and maintaining political stability.

"Strong unity among the people and political stability form the basis for the state’s economic progress and investment growth," Hajiji added.

He said Christmas, a cherished occasion for Christians, traditionally brought families and friends together.

"May this occasion fill your homes and our communities with joy, peace, and harmony,” he said in extending Christmas greetings to all Christians.
