Cops probe alleged sexual assault by religious teacher against 11-year-old


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating an allegation that an 11-year-old student was sexually abused by his religious teacher.  

Wangsa Maju OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Lazim Ismail, in a statement on Friday (Dec 19), said that the incident was reported to the police on Tuesday.

The report alleged that the suspect had sexually assaulted a student from a religious school based in Kampung Pandan here.

The police are investigating the case under Section 14(d) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017

"As of now, no arrests have been made. "The case is still under investigation," ACP Mohamad Lazim said.
