Accident claims life of 67-year-old motorcyclist on Seremban-Port Dickson Highway

PORT DICKSON: A 67-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he was run over by two vehicles along km29 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway on Friday morning (Dec 12).

Port Dickson OCPD Supt Maslan Udin said the victim was heading towards the resort town from Seremban around 6.15am when a car driven by a 23-year-old man crashed into his rear.

"The impact of the accident caused the victim to fall on the road.

"He was then run over by two cars which were heading in the same direction," he said in a statement.

Supt Maslan said the victim suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.

The vehicles involved in the crash have been sent to Puspakom for inspection.

"We will also carry out toxicology reports and look for eyewitnesses in our probe," he said.

The case, he said, was being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He also urged motorists to keep their distance from other vehicles, obey the speed limit and exercise caution, especially when driving along unlit stretches.
