MELAKA: RM100 cash was randomly handed out to visitors at Klebang Beach by a millionaire last weekend.

The generous act, as seen in a viral 20-second video, sparked questions from social media users on the person’s identity.

Sinar Harian reported that the individual is identified as businessman Datuk Salim Abdul Rahman.

The footage also showed Salim asking visitors to wave at him, and those who did would receive RM100 in cash.

In the video, he was also accompanied by Hulu Langat Member of Parliament Mohd Sany Hamzan.

Mohd Sany reminded those who had received the cash handout not to participate more than once, so that others would have the opportunity to receive it as well.

The video has drawn a wide range of comments on social media. While some praised Salim for sharing his good fortune, others questioned the nature of the handout and his motives.

According to the Malay daily, Salim is popular on TikTok under the username @ds_sultanpemurah68 and currently has more than 150,000 followers.
