Fuel prices Dec 4-10: RON97, unsubsidised RON95 up 3sen


KUALA LUMPUR: The retail price of RON97 and unsubsidised RON95 petrol nationwide will increase by three sen per litre to RM3.29 and RM2.66 per litre respectively, from Dec 4 to 10. 

In a statement today, the Finance Ministry announced that the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will remain at RM3.08 per litre, while in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan it is also unchanged at RM2.15 per litre for the same period.

The retail price of subsidised RON95 petrol under the Budi Madani RON95 (BUDI95) scheme will also remain unchanged at RM1.99 per litre.

"In line with the increase in global oil prices, the government has set the retail price of RON97 petrol at RM3.29 per litre and unsubsidised RON95 at RM2.66 per litre for the period Dec 4 to 10, 2025.

"The government will continue to review and adjust the retail prices of RON97 and unsubsidised RON95 petrol based on current global oil market developments, but price stability remains a priority," the statement read.

The ministry explained that the weekly petroleum prices are set in accordance with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula, in line with the policy for determining the retail prices of petroleum products.

It added that the government will continue to monitor global crude oil price trends, as well as take appropriate measures to ensure the well-being and welfare of the people are always safeguarded. - Bernama
