Elderly man remanded six days over wife's murder


TANAH MERAH: An elderly man has been remanded for six days to to assist in investigations into the suspected murder of his wife in Kampung Paku on Monday (Dec 1).

The remand order was issued by Magistrate Tun Faez Fikhrie Tun Asrul Saini at the Magistrate’s Court here, from today until 7 Dec, to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Earlier, the 63-year-old suspect, clad in lock-up attire, arrived at the court at 9.25 am in a police vehicle.

According to media reports yesterday, the victim, 40-year-old Mastura Abdullah, was believed to have been killed by her husband at a house in the village - Bernama
