Dolphin found dead at Sabak Bernam resort

A DOLPHIN was found dead beneath the stilted structure of a resort in Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, on Tuesday, reported Kosmo!

The mammal, estimated to be 2.2m long and weighing more than 70kg, was discovered at around 1.45pm.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Zone 7 chief for Northern Selangor Samsol Maarif Saibani said the incident was noticed after a team of firefighters completed a training session at sea near the location.

He said the carcass was first spotted by a person collecting clams under the resort’s stilted walkway before informing the fire department.

“The dolphin was intact but already dead. It is a species that is rarely seen and is believed to have been separated from its pod before being carried by the rising tide,” he said.

> Actor Dharma Harun Al-Rashid died at 9.10pm on Tuesday, Utusan Malaysia reported.

The sad news was shared by Muhammad Al Syafiq, 36, who said his father was already unresponsive when he returned home from the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (Aswara).

“My father had died when I came home,” he wrote in a social media post.

Earlier, the Adik Manja actor had revealed that he had been experiencing various health issues, causing his weight to plummet drastically to 45kg.
