Sabah polls: Momentum is with BN to win and form a stable state govt, says Bung

KOTA KINABALU: Barisan Nasional candidates and election machinery are now at the peak of their preparedness to convince voters and win the 17th Sabah state election, says Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

The Sabah Barisan chief said that with the campaign entering its 11th day on Wednesday (Nov 26), the coalition's candidates and machinery were at their maximum strength.

"We are strong and experienced leaders who can bring the change needed for Sabah’s development in many aspects," he said in a statement.

"We are confident that we can form and build a stable and competent state government."

Bung Moktar said political stability is the basis of sustainable development, as people were tired of inconsistent and unstable governments.

"We need a solid, consistent and stable administration. As the Bahasa Malaysia saying goes, 'biar lambat asal selamat'," he said, referring to the proverb which means it is all right to be slow as long as objectives are achieved properly.

He assured voters that the Barisan government they will elect will put the people’s needs first and prioritise governance, development and welfare.

Bung Moktar said that at the pace their campaign and support were going, it was clear that there was a steady increase in confidence and momentum that could help Barisan win.

Sabahans go to the polls on Saturday (Nov 29).
