Two held over fatal brawl at entertainment centre


SEREMBAN: Police have detained two suspects to assist in investigations into the fatal beating and stabbing of a man at an entertainment centre here early on Sunday (Nov 23) morning.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Azahar Abdul Rahman said the duo were believed to have been involved in an altercation which led to the victim's death.

"We have opened an investigation paper under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

"Any individual with information on the incident is urged to come forward to assist in investigations," he said in a statement.

ACP Azahar said a preliminary probe revealed that a fight broke out amongst a group of individuals at around 4.30am.

"The victim sustained injuries and fell unconscious after the fight.

"He was then rushed to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital but was pronounced dead by doctors," he added.

The victim is believed to have been in his 40s.

Earlier, it was reported that 10 to 12 men were involved in the fight.

A CCTV recording showing the victim fleeing from the group has since gone viral on social media.

The one-minute, 26-second video captured the moment the victim was beaten by the group, including with chairs and boxes.
