KUALA LUMPUR: The Corruption Perception Index (CPI) Special Task Force is developing an action plan to boost integrity and improve enforcement agency efforts.
Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) chief executive officer Asliza Ali said the strategic roadmap is meant to enhance Malaysia's score and standing in the global CPI ranking.
The plan will be developed through the task force's Enforcement Focus Group (FG), she added.

"The Enforcement FG Action Plan outlines key strategies, initiatives, and priority actions focused on reinforcing integrity, transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency within the nation’s enforcement ecosystem.
"It serves as a strategic roadmap emphasising a data-driven, integrated approach to implementing enforcement reforms," she said on Tuesday (Nov 11) in conjunction with a two-day workshop on the action plan which began in Putrajaya yesterday.
She added that the initiative aligns with the government’s aspirations to strengthen good governance and bolster public confidence in enforcement institutions.
The workshop brought together senior officers from 12 agencies, including the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom), the police, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS), Registrar of Societies, Immigration Department, Forestry Department, Labour Department, Road Transport Department, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry and the Fisheries Department.

The workshop aimed to refine the framework and proposed initiatives to be finalised for implementation under the action plan.
The CPI Special Task Force, chaired by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, established six focus groups during a meeting on Oct 3 last year to spearhead Malaysia’s CPI improvement initiatives.
The six groups are led respectively by the EAIC, Finance Ministry, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti), Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department and the Communications Ministry.
