M'sian passport ranked third globally on latest Passport Index

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian passport now holds the third position globally in the Passport Index 2025, a benchmark for passport rankings.

The Malaysian Immigration Department announced on social media that this achievement reflected international trust and recognition of the security of Malaysia’s travel documents.

"Malaysian passport holders enjoy visa-free travel to 174 countries worldwide," Immigration said in a Facebook post Wednesday (Nov 5).

According to data from Passport Index, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) passport ranks first, followed by Singapore and Spain in second place.

Malaysia shares the third position with 15 other countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Luxembourg, Italy, Denmark, Portugal, Switzerland, Greece, Austria, Norway, Ireland, and South Korea. – Bernama
