Shooting suspect arrested, former Kelantan FA player surrenders with weapon


GOLOK: A former Kelantan FA player in 2019 who was one of the suspects involved in the shooting death of a Malaysian, Mohd Fuad Fahmie Ghazali, 33, in an incident in Kampung Bering, Sungai Golok here on Saturday (Nov 1), has been arrested.

The suspect was said to have been arrested on Sunday night (Nov 3) after he turned himself in, along with the gun he used, at the Sungai Golok Police Station, reported Sinar Harian.

A security force spokesman said that their investigation found that the suspect, who is in his 30s, has dual citizenship, namely Thailand and Malaysia.

Previously, it was reported that a Malaysian who was seriously shot at a house in Sungai Golok, Thailand died on Saturday night.

The victim, from Kampung Kepas Apam, Pasir Mas, died at 9pm while receiving treatment at Sungai Golok Hospital after being shot 18 times.
