PETALING JAYA: Uniform allowance payment issues will be addressed and resolved as soon as possible, Bukit Aman says.
Its Logistics and Technology Department director Comm Gilbert Philip Layang said in a statement on Sunday (Oct 26) that the police leadership was aware of the claims about issues with paying tailors for uniforms that have been circulating online.
“The police force fully understands the concerns of its members regarding this matter," he aid.
"The department is currently working together with the Home Ministry and relevant agencies to coordinate allocations and expedite the payment process.
"The welfare of (police personnel) remains a top priority.
"Coordination efforts are actively being carried out to ensure that all claims can be resolved in the near future in accordance with existing financial and procurement procedures."
He also urged all concerned to remain calm and allow the administrative process to go on.
"The top management of the police force emphasises that this matter does not affect the preparedness or core responsibilities of the police in ensuring that the nation’s security remains safeguarded, especially (considering) the... various international events taking place throughout 2025.
"We remain committed to ensuring that the welfare of every officer and member continues to be protected in line with the principles of public service well-being and the Madani spirit," he added.
