Four killed in collision involving three m-bikes, car in Johor


TANGKAK: Four youth, including a teenage girl, were killed in an accident involving three motorcycles and a car at KM32.5 along Jalan Muar–Segamat on Friday (Oct 24) night.

Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib said the crash occurred at about 10.55pm, claiming the lives of four victims aged between 18 and 20.

He said three of the victims, the riders of a Yamaha 135LC and a Yamaha Y15ZR, along with a female pillion rider, died at the scene.

“Another motorcyclist riding a Yamaha 135LC succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Tangkak Hospital,” he said in a statement here on Saturday (Oct 25)

Supt Roslan said the driver of the car and a passenger escaped unhurt.

“Police are carrying out a detailed investigation into the crash involving the four victims,” he added.

He said all four bodies had been sent to Tangkak Hospital for post-mortem.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
