Sabah polls: Postal voting applications open from Oct 13


KOTA KINABALU: Applications for domestic and international postal voting for the 17th Sabah State Election will open on Monday (Oct 13).

Election Commission (EC) secretary Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus said the postal voting applications are open for all categories, namely Category 1A (election officers, EC members or officers, police, army personnel and media practitioners), Category 1B (Malaysians residing abroad), and Category 1C (agencies or organisations).

He said all postal voting applications must be submitted online via https://myspr.spr.gov.my.

"Eligible voters who wish to vote by post must register for or already have a MySPR account before submitting their postal voting application,” he said in a statement on Friday (Oct 10).

He said the closing date for postal voting applications for all categories will be announced later, and for enquiries or further information, the public may contact 03-8892 7080 or 03-8892 7218. – Bernama
