Sany Araby seeks PM's permission to launch second humanitarian mission to Gaza


KUALA LUMPUR: Sumud Nusantara Malaysia is seeking permission from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to initiate a second humanitarian mission to deliver aid to Gaza, Palestine via Egypt by land, Sinar Harian reports.

This request was made by Sumud Nusantara Command Centre (SNCC) director-general Datuk Dr Sany Araby Abdul Alim Araby, during the Solidarity Assembly with Gaza: Malaysia Wave, Free Palestine at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil on Wednesday (Oct 8).

"I know Datuk Seri has a good relationship with the President of Egypt, Fattah el-Sisi, and can play an extraordinary role beyond our reach.

"We have no choice. We (Sumud Nusantara Malaysia) ask for a passage and are ready to launch the second wave, God willing," he was quoted as saying by the Malay language daily.
