17-year-old student found dead after falling from Cyberjaya condo


SEPANG: A 17-year-old university student was found dead after falling from a condominium unit in Cyberjaya on Thursday (Oct 2).

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Norhizam Bahaman said the district police headquarters received a distress call through the MERS 999 line at 3.18pm on Thursday (Oct 2), alerting them to an unconscious man at Level 8 of the condominium.

"A team from the Cyberjaya police station was dispatched to the scene, where initial checks revealed the teenager lying face down in a pool of blood.

"We believe he had fallen from an upper floor of the unit where he lived," he said in a statement.

The victim, a student at a local university, was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

"Sepang CID personnel conducted further investigations and found no criminal elements

"The case has been classified as a sudden death," he said.

ACP Norhizam said the body was sent to the Forensic and Pathology Department at Cyberjaya Hospital for a post-mortem.

"We urge the public not to speculate on the incident and to come forward with any information.
