Motorcyclist killed in road crash in Kota Tinggi


KOTA TINGGI: A motorcyclist passed away after being involved in an accident earlier.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Yusof Othman said the incident took place at Jalan Tun Sri Lanang near here on Monday (Sept 29) at 8.15am.

“The accident involved a car driven by a 42-year-old local man and a 22-year-old motorcyclist," he said in a statement.

Supt Yusof said the deceased suffered severe injuries while the car’s driver escaped unhurt.

"He died while receiving treatment at the emergency ward of Kota Tinggi Hospital.

“The body of the victim has been referred to the Forensic Department for further action," he added.
