Two killed in road crash in Kota Tinggi

KOTA TINGGI: Two motorists were killed in a head-on collision here.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Superintendent Yusof Othman said the incident occurred at KM26 of Jalan Kulai–Kota Tinggi at around 8am on Monday (Sept 22).

“Preliminary investigation suggests that a 47-year-old woman, who was driving from Kluang towards Kota Tinggi, veered into the opposite lane and collided with a car driven by a 37-year-old man.

“Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining severe head and internal injuries,” he said in a statement.

He added that both bodies were sent to the Kota Tinggi Hospital forensic unit for post-mortem procedures.

“I advise road users to remain vigilant and always obey traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of all road users,” he stressed.
