PAS candidates should use party logo in Perikatan-governed states, urges Hashim Jasin


ALOR SETAR: PAS candidates should be allowed to use the party logo instead Perikatan Nasional's for the 16th General Election in the four states under the coalition's administration, says Datuk Hashim Jasin.

The party spiritual leader said PAS had used its moon logo for Kelantan and Terengganu, which had proven effective to win voters.

"There should be no problem using the PAS logo in the four states," he said at a press conference here on Saturday (Sept 13).

Hashim said the PAS logo was not used in Kedah for the 15th General Election.

"We saw what happened in Langkawi. For other states, we are prepared to discuss it but it will be better if we can (use the PAS logo).

On Friday (Sept 12), Penang PAS Youth wing representative Saiful Rizwan Mahmud urged the party not to sacrifice its seat in the upcoming election to other parties.
