SHAH ALAM: The Bersatu deputy president has confirmed his loyalty to party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
"I am your number one supporter, I am your man," said Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin on Saturday (Sept 7) at the party's AGM at IDCC, Shah Alam.
The Opposition leader said this in response to a poison pen letter that was sent to party members as well as a statutory declaration was sent around to division leaders to collect signatures to oust Muhyiddin as the president and put Hamzah in his place.
"Tan Sri needs us all. What is needed is our loyalty to the party. We are not the government, we are the opposition.
"The fight among us is only to ensure we will win. We have supporters and the masses know how we will rule under Muhyiddin," said Hamzah to rousing cheers.
