MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 9pm (Sept 6)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 9pm on Saturday (Sept 6).

In a statement at 6pm on Saturday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar and Kinta); Kelantan (Gua Musang); Terengganu (Dungun and Kemaman) and Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut and Kuantan).

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Kuching (Lundu); Sibu (Selangau); Mukah (Daro, Matu, Dalat and Mukah); Bintulu (Tatau); Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang.

Areas affected in Sabah are the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), West Coast and Kudat (Kota Marudu and Kudat) as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan.
