Parts of Petaling Jaya hit by power outage


PETALING JAYA: A power outage in Petaling Jaya has affected several areas including Kelana Jaya, Ara Damansara, Kota Damansara, and Bandar Utama on Monday (Aug 25).

The electricity went out around 10am this morning.

According to a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Careline representative, technicians are currently at the Kelana Jaya substation working to restore power. 

The representative said that repairs are expected to take two to four hours, though this timeframe could change depending on the severity of the issue.

Earlier, netizens took to social media to report on areas affected by the electricity cut, which included Ara Damansara, Kota Damansara and Bandar Utama.

While TNB did not disclose the affected areas, it said that their technical team was carrying out repair work to restore power supply.

“We greatly appreciate your patience, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience caused,” it posted on X.
