DATUK Seri Siti Nurhaliza (pic) has proven her status as an Asian music icon once again, after her life story was featured in a school textbook in the Philippines.

According to Berita Harian, this came to light after an individual believed to be a Filipino left a comment on the songstress’ TikTok account, asking whether she was the artiste featured in their school textbook.

Another user shared a page of the textbook, thus confirming that Siti was featured in educational material of that country.

Siti, who is known for her humble nature, responded to the comment with a red-heart emoji, a move which excited her fans.

In the comments section, many netizens expressed pride and described the recognition as a great honour for Siti.

> The whereabouts of a missing calf were finally known when its owner discovered that it was swallowed by a python weighing nearly 100kg.

Ahmad Hamid, 62, a farmer from Jeneri, Kedah, said he realised that one of his calves was missing from its pen at about 9am on Wednesday.

“I tried to search for the calf around 6pm yesterday in the pen area and nearby the bushes. However, I spotted a reticulated python looking bloated in the bushes,” according to a report by Kosmo!.

He quickly sought help from villagers to capture the reptile but faced difficulties moving it.

He then contacted the Malaysia Jariah foundation volunteer brigade (BSYJM).

BSYJM director Mahadzir Abdul Hamid said four members were dispatched.

“We found a python weighing nearly 100kg and measuring more than five metres, which had already been caught by the villagers,” he said.

“The operation took almost half an hour before it was successfully relocated using machinery and handed over to the Sik Fire and Rescue Department,” he added.
