A MAN caused an uproar online for kicking and yelling at a disabled beggar in Bentong, Pahang, reported China Press.
The man was seen filming his own tirade against another man without legs at the Bentong wet market on the morning of Aug 17.
The amputee was sitting with an open bag to collect donations.
“Where are you from? Why are you begging here? Why can’t you get a job? Why can’t you sell lottery tickets (like other disabled people)?” the man could be heard yelling in Cantonese at the amputee while kicking him.
Throughout the whole video, the amputee could be seen covering his face with his arms and kept repeating that what he was doing was none of the abuser’s business.
The video was uploaded on social media and had a caption which said the amputee was a disgrace to the Chinese community here.
It sparked an uproar online, with Internet users slamming the man’s actions.
“He’s just a bully,” one netizen wrote.
It is unsure if a police report was made over the matter.
> A cleaner in China, who was accidentally locked in an apartment for over a day, used messages written with her own blood to call for help, reported China Press.
The incident happened on Aug 12 in Sichuan province’s Leshan city when a food delivery rider picked up a pillowcase with the numbers “110625” written with what appeared to be blood.
When police officers arrived, they found that another worker had also picked up a pillowcase with the same message.
They deduced that it was referring to an apartment unit on the 25th floor.
Police broke down the door of unit 11 in block six and rescued a woman trapped there.
The woman was cleaning the apartment used as a homestay the day before, but a gust of wind slammed the main door shut, locking her inside.
As she did not have her phone with her, the woman decided to bite her finger and use her own to write a message on two pillowcases.
