Knife-wielding woman who attacked bystanders in Kajang arrested


KAJANG: A woman has been arrested after attacking bystanders with a knife following a traffic collision in which she hit three motorcycles, here.

According to a statement from Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof, the police were notified of the incident at 11.58am on Wednesday (Aug 13). The suspect crashed into the vehicles near a shopping mall in Bandar Kajang.

“After the collision, the woman exited her car and attacked members of the public at the scene with a knife. She was subdued by bystanders and was found in possession of two knives,” he said.

The 24-year-old foreigner was then handed over to the police. Approximately six people, aged 21 to 60, were injured during the attack, with two being hospitalised.

“The motive behind the attack is currently under investigation, said ACP Naazron.
