Upside-down Jalur Gemilang at police station happened in 2016, district police chief says

SEREMBAN: A viral photo showing the Jalur Gemilang hung upside down at the district police station here was an incident that happened in 2016.

District OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the authorities came across the photograph, which had been posted on Facebook on Monday morning (Aug 11).

"The incident happened back in 2016 during the Police Day celebration.

"The photo went viral on social media in 2019, and it has now gone viral a second time," he said in a statement.

ACP Mohamad Hatta urged the public not to repost such incidents to prevent people from forming a negative perception and to avoid certain parties from manipulating the issue.
