KUALA LUMPUR: The police have urged businesswoman Rita Sosilawati to come forward with information regarding an alleged new scam tactic involving the delivery of a package containing cannabis to her family’s residence from an unknown sender.

Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the police have yet to receive any official report on the incident.

"We are asking the individual involved to lodge a police report so that investigations can be carried out,” he told reporters on Friday (Aug 8).

On Wednesday (Aug 6), media reports stated that Erni Dekritawati Yuliana, better known as Rita Sosilawati, had shared a post on her Thread account alleging that she was a victim of malicious intent after her sibling received a suspicious parcel.

According to her, although the parcel was addressed to her sibling’s home, the recipient’s name was not recognised by any family members.
