Smart Lane along NSE near Kulai to be closed temporarily for road upgrades

KULAI: The Smart Lane along the North-South Expressway (northbound) between Kulai and Sedenak will be temporarily closed to make way for road upgrades, says PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS).

In a statement, it said the lane between KM26.7 and KM33.7 will be closed for the time being, starting Monday (July 21), to facilitate ongoing lane widening works in the area.

“During the construction period, the existing two lanes at the affected stretch will remain open to maintain traffic flow and minimise disruptions for highway users.

“Meanwhile, the Smart Lane between Senai and Kulai at KM19.0 to KM26.7 (northbound) will continue as usual,” it said.

PLUS also advised highway users to plan their journeys and get the latest traffic updates through the PLUS app.

“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all highway users throughout the duration of these works, which are being carried out for the greater safety, comfort and convenience of all.

“Users are also reminded to obey all traffic signage and instructions issued by PLUS personnel when passing through the construction zone,” it said.

For real-time traffic updates and assistance, users may also refer to the PUTRI Virtual Assistant, X @plustrafik, electronic signboards (VMS) at selected locations, or contact PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 in case of emergencies.
