Form Four student killed, pillion rider hurt in Shah Alam motorcycle crash


SHAH ALAM: A 16-year-old male motorcycle rider died while his pillion rider suffered serious injuries following an accident in Seksyen 13 here.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the incident occurred when the rider lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a road divider at about 9.45pm on Friday (July 4).

"The rider suffered injuries to his head and died at the scene while his pillion rider suffered injuries to his neck and legs.

"Both victims are Form Four students at SMK Seksyen 9," he said in a statement on Saturday (July 5).

The injured victim was brought to Shah Alam Hospital for treatment.

"We are investigating under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

"We urge those with information on the incident to contact Traffic investigating officer Insp Abdul Nasser Peping at  012-2863875," he said.
