New Zealand woman injured after fall at Kanching Waterfall


PETALING JAYA: A 52-year-old woman from New Zealand sustained injuries after falling six meters at the Kanching Waterfall in Rawang.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar reported that the distress call was received at about 11.52am on Saturday (June 28).

"Eight firemen from the Rawang fire station were dispatched to the scene," he stated.

"We have rescued her, and efforts to bring her down from the area are underway," Ahmad Mukhlis added in a statement on Saturday.

The victim suffered injuries to her left hand and leg as well as her back.
