Chow: Federal projects welcome, but Penang seeks more fiscal support


GEORGE TOWN: Penang welcomes federal infrastructure projects, but the state also requires funding to carry out its own development initiatives and social welfare programmes, says Chow Kon Yeow.

The Chief Minister reiterated his call for Putrajaya to consider sharing a portion of the tax revenue collected from states, stressing that Penang, like others, faces financial constraints in implementing state-level projects.
