Woman survives fall from seventh floor of Ipoh apartment


IPOH: A 20-year-old woman has sustained serious injuries after falling from the seventh floor of a service apartment here.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said they received a call at 12.21pm on Friday (June 20).

He said the incident happened at an apartment on Jalan Lim Bo Seng.

"Firefighters at the scene discovered that the victim had fallen from a seventh-floor apartment balcony.

"She landed on the rear balcony area on the second floor.

"The victim sustained serious injuries, including a fractured thigh and multiple lacerations," he said in a statement on Friday.

He said the team lifted the victim with a stretcher to a safe location.

"The victim was given first aid by the medical team before she was taken to hospital for further treatment," he said.
