MACC officers have already quizzed Ismail Sabri’s former son-in-law in Jakarta, says Azam Baki

BANGI: Graft busters have already recorded the statement of Datuk Jovian Mandagie, the former son-in-law of Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, in the ongoing investigation into the former prime minister.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said his officers have already recorded Jovian's statement in Jakarta.

"I believe my officers have already recorded his (Jovian) statement in Jakarta," he told reporters on Thursday (June 12).

It was previously reported that the MACC aimed to record Jovian's statement in the ongoing probe involving Ismail Sabri.

"Jovian is based in Indonesia and we need to record his statement to confirm assets declared by the former premier.

"There were some assets mentioned in Ismail Sabri’s statement that we need to verify.

"Investigations are expected to be completed by the end of June, after which we will refer the case to the deputy public prosecutor for further action. If there is enough evidence to charge, we will suggest doing so," Azam had said.
