What are the items you will have to pay extra taxes for from July 1?


PETALING JAYA: Certain items such as imported fruits and salmon will be affected by the expanded Sales and Service Tax (SST) from July 1.

Services like private education and private healthcare will be impacted as well.

The Finance Ministry said this measure is to strengthen the country's fiscal position by increasing revenue and broadening the tax base.
