Police confirm driver in 4X4 crash is not vehicle owner

KUALA LUMPUR: The driver of the 4x4 that crashed into a motorcycle recently is not the vehicle's owner, say the police.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa confirmed this when contacted.

"As of yesterday, the seriously injured victim is still in the ICU ward and under close observation by the hospital," he said.

The police are also applying for a remand extension for the suspect, he added.

On Friday a 4x4 crashed into a motorcycle near the Duta toll plaza, injuring a married couple.

Both victims suffered injuries, with the wife sustaining internal bleeding in the brain and a broken rib.
