Fadhlina backs Nurul Izzah for PKR deputy presidency

PETALING JAYA: Nurul Izzah Anwar’s bid for the PKR deputy presidency aligns with the desire for change from the party’s grassroots, says Nibong Tebal PKR chief Fadhlina Sidek (pic).

The Education Minister said that she fully supports Nurul Izzah, adding that her bid is also in line with the desire from the grassroots for stability, continuity, and loyalty within the party.

"Nurul Izzah emerged from the roots of reformation, making history as the strongest Opposition until the Madani government was formed," said Fadhlina in a post on Facebook on Wednesday (May 7).

"Her position as deputy reflects PKR's commitment to greater involvement of young leaders and women empowered to drive political rejuvenation," she added.

Fadhlina then said Nurul Izzah has a strong record in humanitarian issues and women's empowerment, family values, and children's safety.

"She deserves the post to guide the party with the full strength of young leadership," she added.
