Croc believed behind man’s disappearance

KOTA KINABALU: A crocodile attack is believed to be behind the disappearance of a 30-year-old foreign man who was fishing in a river near Ladang Sepagaya, Kampung Suan Lamba in Kinabatangan.

The victim, who has yet to be identified, was last seen on Thursday while using a casting net at the river.

Searchers found only his slippers and fishing equipment near the site.

The Fire and Rescue Department received a call from the police at 4.10pm yesterday and mobilised a team of four personnel from the Kinabatangan fire station.
